About me:
My name is Farah Karimova. I am eighteen years old and I just graduated from Edward R. Murrow High School. Something interesting about me is that I speak four different languages (English, Azeri, Russian, Turkish). In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, go to the park, and talk about issues that concern us. In my past experiences, I have interned in Senator Hillary Clinton's office, Senator Carl Kruger's, and also Assemblyman Steve Cymbowitz's office. I learned many skills, knowledge and experiences about what exactly our government officials do for our country. Working for elected officials led me to and taught me the knowledge that interests me the most now, and that I will pursue in my future career.
I am a Prospect Park Youth Advocate who thought it would be a great idea to get involved with the campaign and have a safe, car-free park. I believe this issue interests many citizens. But I am very honored that out of 45 applicants, four interns were selected and I was one of them who got selected. This campaign seems to be a very interesting program and it will be run by my very interesting fellow peers. I am very excited and looking forward to it very much. We have planned very interesting events that will be taking place at Prospect Park. So everyone is welcome to join us and help us have our beautiful park car-free.
